Our Mission

Allison has been sewing since she was 8 years old. She graduated from Western Michigan University in 2020 with a degree in fashion design and completed an design internship with Kate Spade in New York City. As she graduated during the onset of COVID-19, she took a job with Elena Victoria Fine Arts as a lead sewing instructor. She taught sewing camps for children all around Illinois and Michigan.

In November 2020, Allison founded Clothing Bar, opening it as a brick-and-mortar store in Bourbonnais, IL. She successfully owned and operated this storefront for 2 years before moving to Naples, FL, in 2022 with her fiance. Upon relocating, Allison transitioned Clothing Bar into an online + pop up boutique, which she operates out of Naples, FL .

In addition to being a full-time entrepreneur for over 4 years, Allison is an active babysitter. Noticing a lack of kids sewing classes in Southwest Florida that teach deeper sewing skills and techniques—especially those focused on creating clothing and building a wardrobe—Allison saw an opportunity to provide a more comprehensive sewing education. Passionate about empowering children, she finds great fulfillment in helping them develop valuable skills and confidence through hands-on sewing experiences.
